its been a while.

As you may have found out, I have taken a permanent leave from foruming, and designing and a load more.


I kept on complaining about the time I couldn't use to spend on ego, until it got to a critical point. Thus the need for my departure from the forumotion support forum then ego-one.


I asked for new management within the ranks of my former staff mates ... but it seems we need a slight push.



If you think you can take over ego-one please let...

If you are interested in joining EgoOne please send me a couple of samples of some news, wallpapers, or graphics. Please also included why you want to join and some ideas you would like to see on EgoOne. I don't want to read I will ban user for breaking the rules or I am a good mod and can make your forum big.

Forumotion has recently launched a fifa 2010 soccer theme contest.
Since I have not the time... or effort ... or where to spend the credits I want to collaborate (work together) with a good designer.

I already have a concept design done in photoshop and if I do say so myself it looks like a winner no doubt!

I'd like to remind you guys of the snippets feature that we have had active for a while now on ego-one.

Snippets are a type of news ... just like the news articles on the news blog, with the difference that the snippets don't have to be a full blown article about a topic.

I'd like you folks to try out and contribute to ego-one with a snippet. If you found , or heard some interesting news, about browsers, about trends in design, about web development, or seen a great new jquery plugin ... or got news on a fancy new gadget, then why not share...

Ok so I've installed , tested ... made a tantrum about how crap the default attachment settings are ... and fixed forumotion's lousy work again! (lets repeat AGAIN)


Attachments work on EGO-ONE, and I've made them look cool.
Now I need to ask.
DO we need attachments on ego-one?


WE do not offer any patches , or downloads, apart from PSD packages and abrs or other photoshop tools.
So unless we think of a vaild use for the attachments I see no point in keeping them.


But I'm open to suggestions.

Also Ego-One wants to expand...

Alright. I have a staff position for anybody that has a bit of time on their hands and has good taste, and as an optional but definitely positive extra, if you are good at wallpaper art ... I'd like to hire you!


I am looking for a person that will hunt the web ... once a week maybe more, maybe less you'll post some awesome wallpapers, both for PC and mobile use.

After checking the raffles stats... its pretty appalling...

the set of updates that are scheduled for this week are going to have a large impact on the forum!


Yes there are a few awesome updates, one has really made my day... but after examining the template editing fields I see a load of new extra coding that either will or will not appear on TLG.

Seeing as TLG has a custom template the new additions can , or cannot appear. So when the update gets launched this forum most probably...

Since Tealeaf Graphics has to be on top of its game all the time I have decided to implement an old dream of mine.


So this is stage one of the transformation. As soon as I code and test the next stage more will be installed.

Using multi forum version 2,0 ... I have created a totally new method of displaying forums. It also has posts recognition ... something that was lacking in my first version of the multi forum.

I have successfully returned from my long awaited and deserved vacation. I see the forum is A ok even though there was a lack or superior staff during a 5 day period.

Well after a pain staking 2 hour table marathon, I have completed part 1 of the template editing tutorial.


I have created a quick reference table view sheet of variables from the template index_body. I am slowly working on a more indepth tutorial about how to use regions, how to edit them, and what modules work in which regions of the forum. You can't simply transfer portal templates to forum templates.
So that is coming, but very slowly.

I'm also engaged with my new buddy Ankillien with some CSS3 tuts.

Well you guys where introduced to the monsters yesterday, So I'll explain some of the new addons we have this month.


Wallpaper Section


I have created a new section for wallpapers. Anybody that makes walls and wishes to display them and get them broadcast to the world should spend sometime in the forum.

I have dumped my recent FireFOX campaign walls there for all to use. For testjal Supporters I'll prepare some tagged walls for you.

Well as some may have noticed, we have a new usergroup.
Tilum, one of my administrators , concocted a genius surprise that almost gave me a heart attack. But thats Tilum for ya.

The new usergroup is for premium customers... those that have bought themes or pages either on premiumstyles or on this test forum. The users have mod powers , but that is only to view the forum as a whole. I do not expect the theme purchasers to start moderating on this test forum, but if these rights will be abused so will thier permissions.
